Heroic Dog Rescues A Cat That Was Abandoned In A Plastic Bag In 107 Degree Weather
The temperature was a whopping 107 degrees when the cat was found abandoned in a plastic bag outside the Fearless Kitty Rescue in Fountain Hills, Arizona.
A dog became the hero of the day by saving a cat in a cooler in a plastic bag outside an animal rescue shelter in Arizona. It all happened one fine Saturday when a lady was with her Siberian Husky, Koda, at the Avenue of the Fountains. The puppy then pulled the lady to a zipped red-colored cooler in a polythene bag outside the Fearless Kitty Rescue. The owner thought of looking in the bag when she realized that the dog wouldn’t stop sniffing the bag.
Much to everybody’s surprise, there was a black kitty inside the bag, and it was alive. A spokesperson from Fearless Kitty Rescue, Teryn Jones, said that it was not chilly inside the polythene bag since it was out in the 107-degree Arizona heat. The temperatures have been this high since June.
Later, Fearless Kitty Rescue adopted the cat and called her Juliane. Teryn Jones told AZFamily.com, “This comes from Danish culture; it means fearless, and Fearless Kitty Rescue believes she is truly fearless.”
As of now, nobody knows how the poor thing got trapped in the cooler and the plastic bag. Also, no one knows for how long it was trapped in the bag until the furry hero came to the rescue. Thankfully, the cat has been fine since its rescue. Although, a certain amount of her tail might need an amputation.
This type of incident has been the third one that Fearless Kitty Rescue has witnessed this year. Teryn Jones had some strong words for the people who put innocent animals like Juliane at risk. Here is what Teryn had to say.
“You just can’t do this to animals. Well, you can’t do this to anybody. Let’s be honest. Animals don’t have a voice; they can’t tell you what’s going on.”
As of now, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is looking into the matter.
This dog is truly a hero for saving this poor cat! That must have been terrifying for the poor kitty, but luckily this amazing dog was there to help!
