Cat Stuck Under Collapsed Building After Earthquake Saved By Hero Dog

Cats and dogs as we all know oftentimes find themselves caught in the most interesting of situations where not only do they need help, but they help each other.

Just recently a 6.6 magnitude earthquake hit the country of Turkey where many rescuers had to dramatically help people and animals that were trapped under the rubble of collapsed buildings. There was one cat in particular that was stuck under two floors of collapsed rubble for over 30 hours and was in desperate need of help.

Thankfully for this poor cat, a rescue dog named Bob was on location and was able to sniff out the cat under all the rubble and alerted rescuers who were able to break through the rubble and rescue the cat.

After it’s harrowing rescue, the cat was given the name Umut, which means “Hope” in Turkish. Umut is one lucky cat and Bob is one hero of a dog!

The poor cat was so scared and shaking during it’s rescue and only had “hope” to survive on. “Hope” that someone or some animal would find him, and lucky for him, Bob the dog was there to save his life!
