Injured Tabby, Billy Fox, Gradually Gets Back To His Feet
Billy is a cute and playful tabby cat who has overcome many challenges since he was adopted. He has a mild condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which affects his balance and coordination. But he never let that stop him from having fun and being a normal kitten. However, when he was 9 months old, he suddenly lost the ability to move his back legs.
Billy’s Treatment
His parents took him to a neurologist, who suspected that Billy might have a rare and hidden disorder that affects his brain and nerves, such as leukodystrophy.
This was a hard diagnosis to accept, but Billy and his family were determined to help him recover. They gave him all the love and support he needed and did everything they could to make him comfortable and happy.
Back on His Paws
After weeks of struggle, Billy surprised everyone by taking his first steps on his own!
He gradually regained his strength and mobility, thanks to regular playtime, a nutritious diet, outdoor adventures with his parents, and lots of affection!
But his troubles were not over yet. Billy had two broken spots on his tail, which he couldn’t feel. This was a result of “inbreeding situations that cause birth defects.” One day, he was playing with his tail so hard that he bit the tip of it to the bone.
Fortunately, the wound healed well and didn’t need any surgery, but Billy had to wear a cone for a while. He didn’t like it very much!
More Recovery Milestone
With his tail healed, Billy achieved another milestone: he started jumping again, just three months after he walked again!
Billy proves to be a very happy kitten that plays a lot not minding what life throws at him.
Billy had to adapt and learn to walk again, but some things never changed. He still showed his cute fangs, as he did when he was a kitten!
The parents admitted to calling Billy a vampurr, because he likes to bite them and their other 2 cats.
We wish you many more victories on your journey to recovery, Billy Fox, you are an amazing cat!
