Some people would love to live in a liquor store. But did you know that a special cat is actually living that dream?

That’s right! A black rescue cat named Betty found her forever home in a Liquor Barn in Oklahoma City and pursued a career as a wine expert. Well, kind of.

Letting Betty In

Betty’s owner, Amanda, said that Betty was a stray who showed up at her door one day. She said that the feline friend kept running in each time she opened the door, so she had to let one of the store owners know about it. This was how Betty became part of the store.

Betty loves her unusual home. She, therefore, lives in the store 24/7, gets along with everyone, and knows her way around the bottles of wine, beer, and liquor.

Betty an Employer

Betty is not just a pretty face. She is also an employee – and a very good one. One of her coworkers called her a “morale booster”, while another acknowledged how she’s been of help with customers’ bag items. 

An Amazing Skill

Betty has a special skill: cardboard box tasting. She can tell what kind of drink is in the box by biting it. 

Betty walks and rests among the bottles of alcohol, but she never breaks any of them. Can you believe that? She is clearly a purrfessional.

A Liquor Store Home

Betty is a full-time liquor store resident.

She has her bed, food, water, and litter box in the store and behaves well when the employees are gone – and likes being alone at night.

She works hard every day, so she enjoys the quiet and dark of the empty store.
