Majestic Lion Shows His Playful Side: Scares Photographer With Its Roar, Then Smiles At Him

Lions are known as the kings of the jungle for a reason. Their roar and mane make them look fierce and majestic. But did you know they also have a playful side? Playfully fighting with its cubs, grinning when mating with its lioness – these scenes are just breathtaking.

Another great example in this story is the lion. In order to trick the photographer that he sees, the majestic animal plays some tricks on him. The roar of the animal “surprises” the man, who immediately smiles back. “I don’t do anything, human.”

The photographer (Gren Sowerby) photographed the lion while he was taking photographs in Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve. Around 40-50 feet were between the lion and the photographer.

This UK photographer was shocked by the roar of the beast at first. Moments later, however, he was astonished at his smile. As soon as he saw it, he knew it was once in a lifetime!

Photographers have captured the smiles of massive animals on camera for years. It took a lot of photographers to capture the king of the jungle smiling after facing the “shock of his life.” This was one of the lucky shots.

Sowerby, who went in to take a photo of the animal, said, “I got the shock of my life,” when the animal let out a loud roar. Then I couldn’t believe it when he winked at me as if it were like the way you often see someone wink at you to say: ‘Haha!’
