Philadelphia Contractor Rescued 16 Cats in 8 Hours
A contractor in Philadelphia saved sixteen cats from an abandoned house’s wall in eight hours. He also brought the cats to the Animal Care & Control Team of Philadelphia where the cats are currently recovering and about to be put up for adoption.
Sixteen cats were stuck inside the walls of a building in Philadelphia.
Thanks to the contractor, the cats now have a chance to be a part of a safe and loving home. ACCT Philly posted the discovery of the animal-loving contractor on Facebook this Sunday. The post said, “One contractor constructing an abandoned house had a bit of a different Sunday. After hearing meowing in the walls, the homeowners opened a wall and found nine adult cats with seven kittens. Fortunately, he could take them out and bring them to us. However, it took eight hours to rescue them.”
Unfortunately, one of the kittens died shortly after being saved.
The Animal Care & Control Team of Philadelphia also said that these kittens owe their lives to the contractor. It is because many of the kittens are in dire need of serious medical help. If it weren’t for the contractor, they wouldn’t have lasted much longer in the wall.
As of now, we do not know how these cats ended up being stuck inside the wall. But, ACCT is determined to make sure that the cats don’t ever end up on the wrong side of the wall again in their lives. These cats are getting good rest at the shelter now. ACCT Philly aims to socialize the animals and let them heal so that their health improves and they find a home perfect for them.
The Animal Care & Control Team of Philadelphia motivates cat-lovers who are moved by this story to participate in the felines’ recoveries. It is a shelter that is in search of foster homes for these cats and is also searching for homes for other kitties under its wing.
What an amazing rescue story. Those kittens sure were lucky that the contractor was there to help save their lives!
